International rugby player Luke Treharne delivered an inspirational talk to students this week.

Luke, who captained the Wales and GB 7s teams, led an assembly for Years 7-10, in which he spoke about the life of an athlete and how he combined it with his medical studies to become a doctor.

He endorsed the values we espouse at ICHK, a growth mindset, getting out of our comfort zones and teamwork.  Luke will be working with students during Deep Learning 4 through a Sport and Media workshop.

During the programme, students will experience training like a professional 7s player on and off the pitch. Sessions will include skill development, recovery, nutrition, analysis, gym work, speed, games and much more. They will also spend time learning about creating an online business through content creation.

Luke is passionate about helping young players reach their goals on and off the field and we are delighted to be working with him on this addition to our Deep Learning programme.
